I believe that no matter what traumatic experience you have faced, you have the power to rise up and live an extraordinary life. I often see people struggling with intrusive triggers, spiraling in emotional confusion. They often have difficulty trusting people and usually are estranged from their family of origin. They’ve experienced the betrayal of being the scapegoat or black sheep of the family. It’s difficult for them to let love in, and are overwhelmed with emotional and physical exhaustion.
My clients are strolling along in life and then suddenly broadsided with…“What just happened? What is wrong with me? What’s wrong with everyone? What did I do? I can’t live like this anymore.”
My name is Susie Lauri, and I’m a Certified Trauma, Resilience and Grief Coach. I stand for those of you who have been abused, betrayed, emotionally neglected, and outcast for speaking the truth—for those who don’t have a sense of belonging and feel like something is missing inside. And also for those who feel disconnected from themselves, not knowing their own limits with others.
How I Can Help
On this healing journey, know that you are not alone.
Many of the challenges my clients experience include; issues with trust, difficulty letting love in, betrayal, incest sexual abuse, clergy sexual abuse, sexual harassment in the church—while being shunned by the leaders who cover it up.
They come to realize there are enablers who protect the abusers and silence the trauma survivors. Many are enveloped in codependency.
Since many of my clients were groomed as children to be used and discarded, they shut down their own needs (self existence) to survive, not allowed to get angry and show emotion. Therefore, they were not taught to care for themselves, have self compassion or self love, resulting in limited emotional growth.
I stand by your side and am with you. I see you. I hear you. You matter.
“If you want to know who your tribe is speak your truth. Then, see who sticks around. Those are the people who get a spot in your blanket fort.”

How I Work
With each client, I do a complimentary, 20-minute discovery session using GoogleMeet, to see if we’re a good fit for each other. I want to learn about you and what your needs are—and you are welcome to ask questions about me, as well. This way you can see who I am and what I’m about, and vice-versa.
Future appointments are paid in advance and are ‘client-led’, trauma- and IFS (Internal Family Systems)- informed. All of your emotions are welcome. I come alongside you on your journey.
As a Trauma, Resilience and Grief Coach, I work differently than a psychologist. Therapy has strict rules whereas coaching serves the whole person. For example, I don’t diagnose. Instead, I focus on my client’s strengths; not pathologies. And I don’t process raw traumas with my clients.
Most of my clients have already worked with a psychologist. And some are currently seeing a psychologist and work with me as part of their support.
